Canadian families may apply for financial aid for each child to receive the dental-care benefit.

Eligibility:
Children under 12 years of age whose families earn less than $90,000 a year and do not have access to private insurance. The family must also be receiving the Canada Child Benefit and have filed a 2022 tax return.

How much is the benefit cover?
The amount per child depends directly on the family’s income:

• Less than $70,000 – $650
• $70,000-$79,000 – $390
• $80,000 – 89,999 – $260

Applications for this benefit are open until June 30, 2024 for dental care received between July 1, 2023 and June 30, 2024.

Payment processing time is expected to be five to 10 days.
